What Happens Festival first round in Egypt 2017

"What Happens" Festival an annual festival that is held once every year in a different Arab country. It depends mainly on the voting of the Arab audiences and fans, with the exception of the Egyptian audience, to choose the best Egyptian creative stars in cinema, drama, singing, media and business to honour them on what they have achieved and their distinguished works that are approved and admired by the Arab audiences. The first round was held in Egypt on April 1, 2017 at Cocorde El-Salam Hotel and was attended by number of chairmen of great companies

The festival had a great media coverage athat varied from social media sites, newspapers, space channels like el-Mehwar, Orbit, mbc misr, Ontv, Rotana masreya, CBC, Nile TV channels group, Dream, the Kuwaiti tv, the Iraqi tv and many other tv channels. The awards and prizes were handed to the winners by Dr. Essam El-Barram the Iraqi information sector ambassador to the Arab League, Dr. Nour El-Din Mostafa, the main sponsor of the festival and Mr. Mohamed Farid the chairman of What Happens magazine. The winners are as follows:

Cinema actor of the Arabs Ahmed Ezz, cinema actress of the Arabs Elham Shahin whereaas Dorra was chosen as the drama artist of the Arabs. Mohamed El-Noqaly became the director of the Arabs and Medhat Shalaby won the prize as the commentator of the Arabs. The media figuer Mohib Abd El-Hady received the prize on his behalf. Tamer Hussein became the poet of the Arabs while Tamer Ali became the composer of the Arabs. Ramy Gamal won the prize for singing and Mohamed Qammah for the best video clip. The media figuer Mamdouh Moussa won the prize for his programme “the Surprise.” The artist Hind Reda, the broadcasting media figuer Usama Mounir, the artist Ahmed El-Tohamy, and the artist Ramy Wahid were all honoured in the festival. Many other artists were honoured for the total of their works as a whole like Ehab Tawfik, Ahmed Seyam, Haggag Abd El-Azim in addition to giving a special award for the family and staff of the movie “Yapany Assly” “An Original Japanese” and the family and staff of the series “El-Saba’a Banat” “The Seven Girls”. The writer Ahmed Sobhy and the artist Inas Ezz El-Din, Abeer Mounir and Dina El-Masry were also honoured. Some young and promising artists were given prizes to encourage and support them like Aya Samaha, Dolly Shahin and Karem Mahmoud

As for honouring business leaders, it was as follows:

Hyundai Auto: the award was received by Mr. Shazly Mostafa; Dr. Tareq Darweesh, the expert on exporting and head of the United Nations Association of Exporters; the tourist advisor, Ramadan Tantawy; Dr. Ramy Said, the expert on overweight and stomach balloon; Dr. Eslam El-Hadidy the member of the American society for eye surgery; Lamis Morad, the make up artist from Egypt and Amal Elias from Saudi Arabia.
